A military study group spent three years trying to figure out what will entice more women to enlist in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The group called the "Tiger Team" was tasked with finding out where the military could do a better job of getting women to want to enroll and the results included things like referring to medals as "bling," and more fashionable uniforms like "shorter, tighter skirts" and "more stylish shoes," according to MilitaryTimes.com in a piece published Wednesday........

My most recent assignment to a Tiger Team was to an EW (Electronic Warfare) mission planning Tiger Team for the Growler, four years ago.  It was indeed composed of engineering and pilot subject matter experts focused on a full analysis of issues involved with improving planning cycle times to speed up AEA combat sortie generation.

The term isn't a joke in aerospace engineering circles. Seems it has been thoroughly co-opted by non engineering communities.

I was on the Tiger Team for JPADS. The term has become ubiquitous in military as well as civilian usage.

Been on a few Tiger Teams at work. Seems all the Six Sigma types love to use them.
