I have been in and out of CAP since 1964, both as a cadet and senior member. I thing I found out is that squadrons have a tendency to move. San Antonio Composite Squadron (now Lackland) moved 3 times. Alamo Composite Squadron has moved 3 times since I joined them. Alamo composite Squadron is now considering moving again. How many times has your squadron moved?
Never, since its charter in 1942.
My first unit in NJ has met in at least four places since 1964. My current CA unit has met in three places since I've been in the area (1999). My previous CA unit met at four locations while I was in it, and was in one other location within two years before I joined.
In all fairness, Lackland keeps getting bounced around the base. :) They've now been in 3 buildings on the main base and since they merged with Kelly, this makes their fourth. I know this is the Alamo Squadron's second building on Brooks; I can't recall where else they've been.
Since I've been at Minute Man we've moved a few times. Mostly to different space within the same building, but our last move was to another building on the property.

I tend to agree with the old saying of if it ain't broke....well you now the rest. On the other hand if it is broke, by all means it should be fixed.
In some cases... If it ain't broke... break it, still applies though. :)

Apparently, you are right given the significant number of uniform changes lately. Maybe we should move all squadrons to a new location to give them a fresh start. ;)
Not really what I was getting at though... Aimed more at the people who say "But this is the way we have always done it." and are resistant to change.

Thanks, but I think it may be someones sick joke... Come 1 April, I could be a 1st Lt again. :D
I noticed that my grade changed when I checked e-Services this morning, so I've changed all my signatures accordingly.
Congratulations on your promotion Capt. Johnston.

Enjoy it. It's the last promotion you'll be seeing for quite some time. ;)
Not once since it was chartered in 1975.
I am fairly certain that my squadron has been bounced around to at least 3 or 4 buildings on our base. then in some cases different parts of the same building. Now we are in like the oldest building still on the base.
