1942 - 2018 Obituary

ROBERT A. GLOVER, 75, Gladstone, MO passed away from a glioblastoma brain tumor that he was diagnosed with in March 2017. He passed away peacefully with his family at his side early Saturday morning on January 27th, 2018 at North Care Hospice House. He was born November 15th, 1942 in Charleston, West Virginia. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Lloy Glover, daughter Stephanie Jones and fianc, Ron Pfeiffer, son Jason Glover, grandson Josh Chambers and husband Dakota, niece Robin Walz. He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Wilma Glover, a brother Charles, and his wife Pearl Glover. Bob attended Walton High School in Walton, West Virginia and received his B.S. in Industrial Management from West Virginia Institute of Technology. He began his corporate career in aviation electronics as an industrial engineer with General Dynamics Corp and Rockwell-Collins (formerly Collins Radio Company). He then spent 30 years with Wilcox Electric, Inc. (a subsidiary of Northrop Corporation) as Manager, Government Contract Management. He was co-owner of Kansas City Title & License Service, LLC a family owned company founded in 2005. Bob was a member of the West Virginia Epsilon Chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was involved in and served as Treasurer in many Democratic political campaigns over the years. He was a 2 LT in the Harry S Truman Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol. He was an adult Boy Scout leader in Troop 180, Troop 374 and was an Easy Way Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Bob served as Secretary and was elected President of the Airline History Museum in KC MO and served until December 2017 when he resigned due to his illness. He enjoyed giving tours at the museum and spent many hours there. Bob had a passion for the Connie, the Martin 404, and his dream was to see the DC 3 fly again.
