I am hoping to go to the Air Force Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training Familiarization Course at Columbus AFB is Mississippi this coming summer and I was curious about how cadets from other states are expected to get to the base. For me to drive there would be almost 20 hours and so I assume that I would fly from the closest airport to where I live (Albuquerque International Sunport), to an airport near the base and then be transported by ground from that airport to the base. I assume that if I get selected for this NCSA I would find out the answer to my question when they sent me the necessary information that I would need in order to prepare for the course, but I was just curious in advance.

How you get there is entirely up to you.

Be advised that flights to and from little regional airports can be significantly more expensive that big  airports. F'rinstance, it costs more to fly from Detroit to Alpena, Michigan than it costs to fly from San Diego to Detroit. Choose your itinerary carefully.
