Maj. William Craig and 1st Lt. Colette Craig
St. Paul Composite Squadron
Minnesota Wing

Will and Cully, ages 47 and 48, of South St. Paul.

Will and Cully left their home on a lovely fall day to drive down to see the autumn colors along the Mississippi. Their trip ended suddenly in a car crash on October 17, 2019. They are survived by sons, James and Liam; parents Bill and Peg Craig and Jim and Nila Anderson; brothers James (Jackie) Craig and Rod (Kim) Anderson; and other loving extended family and friends.

Cully graduated from Monticello High School and went to Northwestern University in St. Paul where she majored in Business Administration. On the other side of the metro area, Will graduated from Sibley High School and went to Carleton College in Northfield where he majored in economics. They met at a church in Uptown Minneapolis and married soon afterward.

They honeymooned on the North Shore of Superior and continued to visit that area over the years.  They raised their boys, James and Liam, in Northfield where they were involved in ministry to the students at Carleton College. When their boys were old enough they volunteered for the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) first in Lakeville. Both of them worked for Elert and Associates Consulting Group -- now called True North--, in Stillwater, where Will was the Executive Director of Operations and Cully worked in Accounting.

After the family moved to South St. Paul, they switched to the CAP wing at the St. Paul Airport. Will was a Major and served as Squadron Commander, Cully was a 1st Lt. providing essential support.

There was an article published in the Tuesday, October 22, 2019 edition of the Pioneer Press that the family has requested you read if you have a moment- it highlights Will & Cully's lives nicely. (written by Deanna Weniger):
