Title: Appointee cadet group position question
Post by: Jagger3939 on December 14, 2011, 11:25:44 PM
I have my aha basic life support instructors license, and have been actively staffing many events as the c/ safety nco. I do all of the safety classes at my squadron.
I got appointed by our group commander to be the group c/ safety officer.
He said he will be forwarding my duties that wing sent him soon.
Does anyone know what might my duties as a c/ group position might entail?

Thanks

I'm also well aware of what the manual says about c/ safety officers - that they are suppose to learn from the safety officer - but realistically, our group & squadrons keep the cadets busy with realistic tasks

That >is< a "realistic task".  Presumably, you'd be interfacing with the unit C/Safety Officers in the same, staff-level / no authority, way that any other Group staffer interacts with their unit counterpart.  Beyond that, you'd have to ask the Group CC or Group Safety Officer.
