Title: Summer reading
Post by: Nikos on May 27, 2014, 11:52:12 PM
I am reading a new book about missing persons in the rural areas of the USA.  In a lot of the incidents the CAP helped with the search.  One incident from 1988 tells how a CAP aircraft crashed while making a search of the area for a missing person.  According to the book, "There were severe down drafts that day, and something unusual happened to the plane."  The pilot was killed, and the Observer had serious injuries.

To me this drives home the point that the CAP is in a serious business.  If we need to be reminded.
