Squadron 112 was awarded the Pacific Region Squadron of Distinction and the CAWG Squadron of Merit Award last night at  our Squadron awards Ceremony.  The award was presented by LTC John Longley, the CAWG Vice Commander.  The radio spot was a local station recognizing local organizations who give back to the community.

Additionally, Capt. Stephanie Muerer was awarded a Commanders Commendation for her excellence in running a very successful cadet program.  1Lt. Neil Kuykendall was awarded the CAP Achievement Medal for his performance as Sq. Finance Officer (often the unsung hero of many organizations).  C/1Lt Cameron Hodges was awarded an Achievement Medal for his excellence in his performance as the Cadet Commander of a rapidly growing cadet program.  There were approximately 100 people in attendance to include family and other guests.
It was a surreal evening to think that 3 years ago, CAWG was thinking about disbanding our squadron because of lack of membership and participation.

Robert: congratulations!!!!  As I have personally told you many times, you are pretty much responsible for that Sq still being on the rolls.  Of course, you had help, but it was mostly your leadership that did it.
