squadron setup

Hello all, i was just wondering wether or not it was ethical to have a squadron setup as follows:

                                              C/XO      CDC
                                                        CC

                                                   C/1st.Sgt.
 
                  Alpha Flight(6 Cadets)        Bravo Flight (6 Cadets)
                   Flight Comm. Flight Sgt.    Flight Comm. Flight Sgt.
my main concern is with the number of cadets in the flights, and what if a cadet who is a flight sergeant becomes higher rank than the first sergeant? should they switch?

Grade is irrelevant to positional authority, so the issue with the 1st shirt is mostly a non-issue (though I am a staunch advocate of
not advancing cadets to in appropriate positions for their grade, CAP rarely follows a 100% straight line where grade matches position).

However, if you have a stagnant 1st shirt, and cadets progressing well ahead of him, then time to reconsider the 1st shirt.
Also, the 1st shirt is a dotted line, but does not have actual command authority over the Flt Sgts.

I'm assuming the "CC" above is "C/CC", why is there a C/XO above him?

I would only change one thing

XO is not line staff so does not fall in the chain. With that small of a unit I would be in favor of dropping the first shirt too.

It seems top heavy to me with such small flights.  Assuming you have it like this because you have 5 cadet officers though.  That being said, the Cadet Executive Officer is likely not needed. For a unit of your size you don't need a C/CD either.  Also, you are at the absolute minimum manning per flight... basically just to have the second flight staff.

Make one flight and move the XO to Flight Commander to keep the chain of command intact

Cadets > Element Leaders > Flight Sgt. > Flight Commander > Cadet Commander
