SFC (Ret) Glenn Allen Smith was born August 31, 1942 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Earl Warren and Lois Ilene (Lough) Smith. He passed away at the age of 80 on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his home near Duncan with his family at his side.

Glenn graduated from Comanche High School with the Class of 1960. He proudly served his country by joining the US military in 1960, serving two tours in Vietnam (Air Force and Army) and was honorably discharged in 1980 from the United States Army. In 1981 he went to work for civil service with the U. S. Department of Agriculture. In 1985, he received his Associates Degree in Electronics from Cameron University and transferred his civil service career to the U. S. Department of Defense at Ft. Sill. During this time, he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan many times as a civilian until retirement in 2017.

Glenn married the love of his life, Tracy Lou (McDowell) McGraw, on May 17, 1980, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Glenn was a great family man who loved his country and family dearly. He liked being outdoors and riding motorcycles.

Preceded in death by his parents, Glenn is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tracy; children: Jennifer Shafer and spouse Wade of Duncan, Shauna Cole of Duncan; grandchildren: Alexa French, Greg French and spouse DaJinee; Caleb Cole, Katelynn Cole, Morgan Manico; and great granddaughter Gracelynn French.
