Lynda Carroll Sue Morris (Rosencrans)
passed away December 15, 2022.Preceded in death by parents Earl & Sue Morris, and brother Bobby-Joe Ousley. Survived by husband, Rob Rosencrans, daughter, Monica Huffaker, stepson, Robert Rosencrans, siblings, Debra (Ousley) Pulfer, Diana Ratliff, Terry Morgan, Gleena Setser, and close associate Ed Paulsen.
Lynda pursued a lifetime of helping people from all walks of life through large-scale efforts in local colleges, raising funds and volunteer work for Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, PBS, Children's Miracle Network, hospitals, shelters and assistance for humans as well as pets and animals. She did extensive work with Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Search & Rescue Teams and training cadets, and was also the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) for both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey 'wings' of operation over several decades.
Lynda was an advocate, organizer, and participant in theater and public event performances and conferences, from medieval themes with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) through popular culture and science fiction, an artist in many mediums, accomplished seamstress and designer, dedicated writer and crafter, decorator, scholar and teacher of fencing, archery, and the study of historic women warriors. She had a deep love of nature and enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hunting and tournament fishing, boating and primitive camping, and she was also active in supporting Susquehanna River preservation activities.
Lynda shared a deep enjoyment of playing, promoting and listening to many kinds of music with friends and family as well as public performances. Lynda engaged multiple talents and experience in supporting a wide variety of arts and humanitarian services as well as being a joyful and loving wife and mother. She will be missed by those whose lives she touched.
