Exactly how I feel about safety in CAP... ;D
Although some of the stuff coming out of the safety office at NHQ recently is kind of off the wall, most of the safety officers I know personnally are pretty level headed about what they teach. The problem usually comes when someone who doesn't really understand the term "reasonable precautions" gets an "idea" and goes all "Chicken Little" on you.

That's very true. I would say a good 50% of the safety stuff coming from NHQ is off the wall though. Just check out the questions on the new Intro to Safety Course. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! :o
