Must be getting old, but I don't remember which uniform has purple in it. Does that use pin on rank or sew on?

Ditto.  I currently have one set of CAP BDUs, a flight suit and Service Dress.  I think at one time when I was overly active in CAP I had 3 sets of BDUs.

Gear.  Now I have gear, but most of it can be used in CAP and the military.

Cool thing is, being in the Air Guard, I can use a lot of the same stuff for ANG and CAP.  Uniform shoes, boots, Gore-tex, belts, blues pants, undershirts, light weight blue jacket, etc.

I used to be able to wear BDU hat but CAP now sews rank on them.
Serving since 1987.

Eclipse:

you have one whole closet for CAP: I envy you!  Space in my CAP-half of my closet is tight.

I have pretty much USAF and Corp sets of everything, sans cold weather gear.

When I was on active duty, man, I had a BUNCH of stuff....

We were pretty tight on space as well, then when we redid the basement a few years ago there were these
"dead" spaces towards the back just perfect for closets.  The wife got sort of a pantry for papergoods and, pans,
etc., and I got one lined with cedar for CAP and another for "stuff".

Why so glum?  That just means you have more space?  Instead of being restricted to the closet, you get an entire basement!  >:D

I still have more than you.  ;D  But your stuff much neater.

I have to keep mine scattered in several rooms, in closets, trunks, dressers.  I'm planning to add some storage in the guest bedroom to consolidate it all and organize it, and to keep peace with the wife.

Maj Shaw,

That is the largest shadow box I have EVER seen.  How many medals do you have in that thing(lower right corner of the composite photo)?  Thank you for your service.  I can see that you are a Naval Desert Storm vet.

Never meant to suggest you were. Just pointing out that you need to keep the main thing, the main thing, which is that you are a Cadet first and ground pounder second. Also keep in mind that there is a reg that allows 2B for non-progression through the ranks....
