What do You think CAP would do during a zombie outbreak? Disband? Team with the national guard? Kick some major ass? Fly away? Blow some stuff up?

I think that as a whole, CAP would quickly cease to exist. I am sure that there are groups of members who would band together to increase the individual chance of survival. Government funding for flying would be nonexistent, and I think that the idea of us teaming up with the National Guard is chimerical.
I also doubt the impending outbreak of the zombie apocalypse, but one can always hope right? >:D

Seriously. In WWII CAP was created to fill the nitch that the services could not cover due to other pressing needs.
CAP could go back to war time operations......local surveys. Looking for the zombie hordes. Liason Flights....flying supplies and personel from strong hold to strong hold.....as was pointed out air travel will be one of the safest ways to get people from point to point.
With a Zombie Crisis.....CAP will be the go to place for light aircraft support to the military/State/Federal/county/local governments.

I have though about this on many a long car ride, and the best way I think I could play it would try to make it to the national guard armory in Chattanooga, where I could get weapons and supplies, and make it to the top of lookout Mtn. and shell the heck out of Chattanooga.

Zombie apocalypse aside, I think that in the event of a major catastrophe or crisis, to include an attack or invasion, CAP would adapt and provide support for such cause. The fact that CAP started because of World War II and that it provided anti-submarine patrol and warfare, border patrols, and courier services is very indicative that there will always be those willing to risk their lives to protect our freedom.
As far as teaming up with the National Guard or the Armed Forces in general, I don't see how that would be "chimerical". If anything, we are already partners with the U.S. Air Force and, by extension, the Air National Guard. In WWII, we supported the efforts of the Army and Army Air Corps. In any "zombie apocalypse", we would do the same!

If there ever were truly a Zombie Apocalypse, we would all probably qualify for the Order of Purple Shaft w/Barbed Wire Cluster.
I think the Marksmanship Ribbon will have the same basic color. The different classes will be with a different color stripe.
Marksman will have an orange stripe.
Sharpshooter will have a fuchsia stripe.
Expert will have a , a .... pink stripe.

Bad had different connotations, depending on how the gasoline will be used. For cars, the mixture needs to be fairly fresh, with all the high volatiles present. For something like napalm, almost anything will work. Five year olde gas still burns very well.
That stuff that was sitting in leaky kegs next to Fallbrook sure had them on edge... and it was really olde :)

When my boys were goofy kiddos we had fun producing creating our own commercial for "Zombie Spray XP." Our zombie repellent was actually a rebranded can of pepper spray. It was hilarious. ;D.
So, maybe CAP could help distribute my snake oil, I mean, zombie repellent.

Saw the trailer for World War Z. One of IMDB boards states the Zombies on that movie move faster than Zombies in other movies.
Finally I figured why.

I would hope my squadron would team up with a couple other squadrons, get our planes ready, get some guns and other supplies. Then fight the zombies.

Blast their heads off before they got to the planes, set up a security perimeter around the airport. Make the airport a base for missions.
Not blasting Zombies but had fun making a few.
Took a couple of chem-lights activated them and cut the ends off the tubes. Took a small brush and painted the kids faces and turned them loose in the neighborhood. It wasn't even Hallowween which really made it interesting. Our oldest daughter went into the local 7-11 and told the clerk she had been swimming in an old strip mine and found some toxic waste and hoped it would not affect her. (There are advantages to living in a small town, you can still have fun and not get into too much trouble).
don't get the stuff on clothes, it stains and will not come out.

So I was talking with somebody today, and they said somebody told them they wished a zombie apocalypse would occur so they could blast some zombie heads off. I told the person who told me, I wished that a zombie apocalypse would happen so I could do the same thing (no sense in making a zombie plan unless you want a apocalypse or think it will happen). Anybody else want a zombie apocalypse to occur so they could kill some zombies and everything related to that? Or am I just messed up and need to be in an insane asylum (actually I was staying in one the other week on a church mission trip, rather the basement of an insane asylum).
