Hey guys,

Few question about this

1 is int only done through wing or can a squadron make an account

2 what counts for time towards the awards. Does meeting nights count or is it just non weekly activities

3 can you back date your time serviced already in cap

Anyone can make their own account.

Anything you want to count.

This is not a CAP award, it's in no way vetted by anyone, and the recipient has to pay
for their own award elements.

Everyone in CAP who attends weekly meetings qualifies for the baseline award, and
any member who is even reasonable active over a multi-year period is going to
be "qualified" for the highest level.

It's pretty pointless.

First off thanks for the info from the first two question, second I have tried to make my own account and I couldint it says what organization are you apart of i.e. Translation to cap what wing/squadron that's why I was asking about who has over site in cap.

No one has oversight within CAP as it's not a CAP program.

You would register yourself as a volunteer, and then track your own progress.

The program was actually a Bush-era creation, but it got a lot of traction within
CAP around 2009 for some reason, and a lot of wings, and even NHQ (as I recall)
started creating accounts to track service hours.

Then people started asking who was going to pay for all those awards, in my
wing alone the cost would have been in excess of $5k the first year.

That was pretty much the end of the PVSA as a large-scale idea within CAP.
