I was wondering if I was to solo in a non CAP aircraft would I be able to get my solo wings in CAP. I know the answer is most likely no but I was wondering if I would be able to get my pre solo wings because I would of shown a CAP instructor that I was able to solo an airplane.

Yes, you can get wings by soloing by any means, such as a local FBO, a friend of the family or through CAP.

Once you have soloed, bring in a copy of your endorsement to your squadron to get the paperwork going.

The PRE-solo wings are only for CAP events.  The solo wings are for soloing an aircraft (doesn't have to be CAP related).

Just went through this a few months ago.

It will be easier to get your CAP Solo badge.

Start with CAPR 35-6 JAN 2015

1. Aeronautical Ratings and Requirements. Requirements for CAP-member aeronautical
ratings are:
a. CAP Solo Pilot Rating: Be qualified in accordance with (IAW) CAPR 60-1.

60-1 CIVIL AIR PATROL FLIGHT MANAGEMENT was renumbered to 70-1 in March of 2020 so we check there:

4.1. Basic CAP Pilot Qualifications
4.1.1. CAP Solo Pilot
  4.1.1.1. To operate as a CAP Solo Pilot, the member must possess a valid student pilot
certificate, or in the case of a pilot transitioning to another aircraft category, at least an FAA Private Pilot
certificate in another category and/or class of aircraft, and appropriate solo endorsements from a CAP
Instructor Pilot for the make and model aircraft flown.

So have your student pilot certificate and meet up with a CAP Instructor Pilot. Once the CAP instructor has endorsed your logbook put a copy in your file (to document it) and have your ES Officer approve the solo badge it in OpsQuals/Ratings, Awards & Badges.

Note that this is different from getting your permissions to schedule and fly a CAP airplane in the system. It's still in OpsQuals, but that is documented in the FAA Requirements and Pilot sections. It took several back and forth emails with ops to make it clear we were just documenting the member meeting the Solo badge requirements at that time, not getting permissions to schedule a plane in WMIRS.

The same way that you would get an endorsement from a non-CAP instructor. Find an instructor and ask for it. They'll likely want to do a few hours of dual before signing you off, but that's up to them.

Alternatively, focus on completing your license and then do a form 5 check ride and get regular pilot wings.
