I read an earlier post stating that this section was for suggestions for the site. Therefore, I have a suggestion. Why not instead of having "Recruit, Member, Forum Regular, etc.", follow the CAP ranks? It would be a nice change. However, this is just a suggestion.

Because CAP grade has nothing to do with a forum. Its nice as is.

Because the forum is unofficial. And ranking (usually) are for official stuff. For example, what do you think about an Airman Basic in real life is a 1st lieutenant in this forum just because he starts on this forum before joining for real. It will be confuse. Also, asking and answering question doesn't promote you up. So ..... yeah. Sorry for the grammar, I am new!

I like how this one ^^^ gets it.

Refreshing. :P

As for the original idea, I don't agree with it, but only because of the small impropriety of having a rank system for members of a group that already has a rank system. It just seems like we'd be getting too... excited about rank, when really rank doesn't mean a whole lot, considering we're all civilian volunteers that can do as they please. Most people already put their rank in their signature line anyways, so you should already know where you stand with them. :P

I think we should just keep it simple.

Yeah, I guess your right. Having ranks would add a certain "cool" factor, though.

Trust me, once you get a TMFT award, you'll know what cool is.

Really?  How so?  What is cool about it?

I'd really prefer my left. It's my better side.

The idea has merit, if only for the entertainment value. Just think of some recent C/AB v. Lt Col conversations

Might be hard to reconcile with anonymous posting...

Funny ... I always wanted to be listed as "Tsar of all the Russias."

You'd have a lot of competition for that title.

Ah... a man I was happy forgetting about. I'd be a bit surprised if he doesn't talk about CAPTalk a lot.

Which is good.. We'd actually have enough for a Board of Commissioners.
