How many cadets are registered on CAP TALK? I'm just interested. I want to hear from all you cadets out there!! ;D
There are many cadets who have registered on the site... but there are not many who remain active and posting for very long... As CAPTalk has become overrun with Old Dudes... and its mostly dudes, who discuss old dude topics which are generally not of interest to cadets or anyone under the age of 30. It wasn't always this way however.

And some of us that are over 30...
I'm a cadet, and I find all of your topics about TP, uniforms, current regs, our diminishing relationship with the air force, and all the other things, interesting.

Sometime in the 21st century...
the survivors of and Air Patrol Cadet Program, after the suspension of their National Commander and endless uniform topics, are living in a great CAPTALK FORUM, sealed away from the forgotten world outside. Here, in an USAF/CAP CORP balanced world, CAPkind lives only for service of their COMMUNITY, STATE and NATION free due to countless CAP BLACK VANS which provide everything.
There's just one catch:
Life must end at thirty unless reborn in the fiery ritual of Carousel!!!

Carousel is a LIE!!!
Major Props for the sandman reference!
I'm kinda a cadet. I like to post here because I enjoy seeing the Senior way of looking at CAP issues, not just the cadet way.
I'm a cadet who doesn't show up to meetings to much or wear an Air Force style uniform. (College and a family business is a killer.)
And I'm going SM within a few weeks.

Join me, and together, we can rule the Galaxy as Father and Son!!
Obi Wan knew this to be true.
It is your DESTINY!!!!
Opps,
Welcome to the Dark Side. ;)
Cadets for the win.

3 years...im 18 now but my squadron's cadet program would fail without the leadership we have now. Maybe once we have a good base of replacements I'll switch over, but as of now its till im 21
My suggestion is to stay a cadet till you're 21, and definitely get your Mitchell by then. Your progress in the cadet program translates to progress in the senior program although not a lot of ex-Spaatz cadets feel that way.
Thats probably how it will be.
(How come every thread I post on turns into a "Give SARKID life advice" thing?)
I'm a deputy commander for cadets, it's a required thing for me to do.
Because a lot of us here are members of the BTDT Club.
Its much easier to learn from our mistakes, although that is not a trait that many kids feel is necessary

Learn from the mistakes of others, you won't live long enough to make all of them yourself. ;)

Man, I'm hurt. I am 34. I still consider myself as having similar thoughts to cadets :D

It's what old guys do. Sort of like why cats chase milk bottle rings, no one knows why, they just do it.

Congradulations! You've just won the bizarre analogy of the day award! Come on down and receive your prize!
Did somebody say donuts? Where?
During World War 1, soldiers were called doughboys. In World War 2, soldiers that flew fabric covered biplanes were called nuts. Thus Civil Air Patrol seniors, normally older members combined the two names and are called dough-nuts. <waiting for Tedda to make a new portal person for a doughnut>
I'm a cadet and I check here often, but don't post very often.
