Title: Parade Rifle Costs
Post by: Майор Хаткевич on July 30, 2013, 03:40:50 AM
My unit currently has two Mark 1 Parade Rifles that actually used to belong to a fellow cadet and me (HGA 2005 White Hats). They are holding up great, but I've been browsing the web, and it seems that there's really not that much out there besides the Springfield wood models ranging $30-50, the Mark 1s at $90, and then the Garand $150+ as well as $200-300 full replica Springfields.

What gives?

Is Glendale really the only game in town?

Glendale isn't, but there aren't that many different manufacturers, so everyone is pretty much selling the same thing.

$100ish is what you can expect to pay for anything that looks decent at a reasonable distance.

This is a pretty small market.

Yea, but it seems that, like you've said, there's nothing decent looking out there, besides what they push in that price range.

Try these folks:http://www.westernband.com/Pages/Rifles.htm (http://www.westernband.com/Pages/Rifles.htm)   When I was a SQ/CC I bought a set from them.  Decent Price, decent product, quick delivery.

Yea, saw them.

$65.00 each in quantities of 5-14.

Might be worth it for multiple units to do that.

Let me know if you do that, a couple of the units I work with may be interested in jumping in.
