Is there a gortex rain jacket for Corporate Blue field uniform (blue BDU)?

I've got a gortex BDU jacket and have seen the ABU version.  Does anyone know if someone makes a gortex for the corporate blue field uniform (blue BDU)? I was out on SAR training this weekend where this was the suggested uniform and it would have been nice to have something for the occasion.

Very helpful...

OP was probably looking for a blue goretex in the same style as the ABU & BDU versions, with a flap for the slip on insignia. Not every blue goretex jacket under the sun.

Not like either is in regs. The blue field jacket is the closest option.

For winter, some like the USCG foul weather parka. I've never bothered and just wear civilian jackets. I'm either in charge, or I'm not - the grade tab doesn't really do much.

Whoever suggested it as the UOD probably has a recommendation for a source too.

Or more likely, didn't think about folks who didn't/couldn't wear ABUs.

If you want something to mirror the BDU / ABU, then your only real choice is the "Foul Weather Parka":

As noted, it runs about $400.

One technicality, since it isn't indicated in 39-1, there's no authorization to wear a grade tab on it.

I got one of these...:  https://www.propper.com/propper-defendertm-gamma-long-rain-duty-jacket-with-drop-tail.html

...and have been extremely happy with it for both CAP and other uses, including teaching motorcyclists in downpours.
I also have the matching pants.

it looks professional, the color goes well with the CFU, and it's has held up very well to abusive storage.
Still looks like new after about 5 years.

I purchased the USCG winter parka, which is really a shell, certainly not the price I paid for it.  Wearing a blue BDU jacket with blue raincoat, or anything like that, is fine.  Really.

Follow Eclipse's lead--the charm of BBDU is that you can find fully functional civilian outerwear in lieu of uniform outerwear that you might otherwise wear 12 times in a decade.

WE ARE HERE ON CAPTALK BECAUSE WE ALL CARE ABOUT THE PROGRAM. We may not always agree and we should not always agree.  One of our strengths as an organization is that we didn't all go to the same school, so we all know how to do something different and differently.
Since we all care about CAP, its members and our missions, sometimes our discussions will be animated, but they should always civil -- after all, it's in our name.

So since there's no option to wear a grade tab, it doesn't really matter if it is the same style. So you might as well get one that functions the way you want and will work outside of CAP as well.

I bought an older stock USCG Blue one.  They came out with a newer version with the velcro in different places and the older ones were all clearance from a Manufacturer and they sold it for like $40.  Cheapest and best Goretex jacket I've ever had.  It's not mentioned in the 39-1 so I wear it as a "Civilian" equivalent without the grade tab.

suboptimal

A black ECWCS shell is less expensive than the USCG foul weather shell, and the black color seems consistent with that of the official CAP corporate fleece.

I'm considering this black gen-2 ECWCS shell from TRU-SPEC for less than $100 on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KYOAWPA/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2GY1C08XFOT75&coliid=I8Y5SFR0YC9V6&psc=1

Since I already got the matching pants on closeout directly from TRU-SPEC for $13:
http://www.truspec.com/closeout-vault/closeout-pants/weathershield-rain-pants/

Or perhaps this slightly cheaper gen-1 ECWCS shell from Fox Outdoor Products for about $80 on Amazon, although I would prefer a stowable hood:

Both of these jackets have the insignia strap on the front, but I've not pondered the relative merits of testing the regs and wearing the rank tab.

This is mine, I know it looks black in the photo, but it is a little lighter in color and looks dark navy. I believe it was $80 something a few years back when I got it for my part-time job. Works great!!!

A few years ago, the USCG changed the design of the Foul Weather Parka and Pants. Propper put all of the old ones on clearance for $55 and $30 respectively. Picked up a set and have been wearing them with a black Army fleece ever since. 10 out of 10, would buy again.
