A couple items:
1. Define "big".
2. Ask your wing's encampment staff for a copy of their plan.
3. If you're doing an activity similar to what another unit in your wing, or ideally local area, has done, get a copy of their plan.

Welcome, 3CL!

First, thanks for taking this on as a project; being entrusted with this is a mark of respect.

Second, may I suggest, before starting jamming on a template, that you consider investing a little time in taking the short briefs online on ORM, the process and products? You'll probably find them useful in terms of the whys as well as the whats, as I did. Probably a half hour well spent; context is everything!
Path:
- eServices Learning Management System (https://www.capnhq.gov/CAP.LMS.Web/Default.aspx (https://www.capnhq.gov/CAP.LMS.Web/Default.aspx))
- Scroll all the way down to "Safety: Other Courses"
- Select "Basic Risk Management" (and Intermediate, if you have the time)

Third,
Take a look at these two pages filled with templates and spreadsheets:
https://www.gocivilairpatrol.com/members/cap-national-hq/safety/authorized-activities-rm-worksheets (https://www.gocivilairpatrol.com/members/cap-national-hq/safety/authorized-activities-rm-worksheets)

Best wishes,
Spam

Dear Spam,

Thanks so much for the help. You are correct, I consider this an honor and a privilege to be the Safety Officer for this event. All the more reason to work hard to do it well.

Thanks for the advice and the resources.
