I've been in Washington, DC for meetings of the State SAR Coordinators Council and federal National SAR Committee (NSARC, the federal agencies involved with SAR).
Played tourist today and went to Arlington National Cemetery to find the grave of a cousin I recently discovered (retired Army BGEN, Distinguished Service Medal, Silver Star, Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge and Parachutist Badge) buried there along with his wife and two infant sons. I also planned to visit the Air Force Memorial which is across the street from Arlington, and was visible from my cousin's grave.

There was an interesting wreath in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers - Civil Air Patrol National Blue Beret.
