what is it? and why?
1. A double wide paracord thingy. Pain in the butt to make.
2. Just 'cause.  8)

Also, I like this type of bracelet because it can show both colors of paracord if you make it out of 2 colors as opposed to the link in the OP.

Also, if made properly (and there is a site that sells them via internet somewhere), the bracelet can be made of a continuous, single piece of 550 cord. Keep it with you, and think of the situations where having a lot of paracord would be helpful (on the site below, 16' or 24' options).

This isn't the site I'm thinking of (this seems REALLY expensive), but this is the concept. 16'-24' bracelets.

I will note that HGjunkie's bracelet is not one piece. I can see edges that are cut/burned.

The double wide takes 3 pieces. The one in my link takes one piece.

But if you were to unravel one made using the link, would it still be one piece? Honest question, trying to figure out that blog...

Yes.

Well there you go. To me, that's a good reason to make/carry one of these bracelets.

HGjunkie

I'm gonna rephrase that- the instructables link is made of one piece, the Blogspot link is 3 pieces.
