I am in the process of writing a news release for a local squadron regarding the recent cadet promotions. This news release will be submitted to local newspapers, television stations, and community digests. Does anyone have a good template which I could use and "make my own" so to speak?

Your first step is to consult your squadron PAO. If there isn't one, contact the group or wing PAO. They should be able to provide you with that information. Once it is ready, send it to your commander for approval, and then you can send it out.
