Title: I know REDCAP and SARCAP but what is GOC?
Post by: Holding Pattern on November 01, 2019, 06:19:01 PM
So I know REDCAP and SARCAP. What does GOC stand for?

GOC is referenced on page 6 of the initial service records created for CAP.

At one time it stood for "Ground Observer Corps".

Are you really referencing something that could be north of 75 years old with no context and asking for a coherent response? Page 6 of what document? Link? Reference source?

Not only did I reference something north of 75 years of age, but I got an accurate response in just under 12 minutes!

I couldn't provide a link because, well, there is no link! It's a paper document with no date labeled "Individual Service Record" with the CAP logo on the face of it.

No form number? That would probably make it pre-1963. Can you scan and post it?

That's on my list of things to do. I should be done with pass 1 of my global audit of CAPR 1-2 tomorrow, that will be a good pause point for me to scan that.
