Dear Friends,

As many of you already know, I have resigned my position as Commander of
Middle East Region, effective today, Sunday 5 March. 

I would like all of you to know that it has been an honor and a privilege
to be your Commander.   Together, we have set a standard of excellence
that all of the other Regions envy.   We are -- by any set of
measurements -- the BEST in the nation, and it has been your dedication
and hard work that has put us in this position.   Thank you for your
efforts, and your friendship along the way.

Col. Kay Walling of Maryland has been appointed as Interim Commander for
the Region.   I hope that you will give her the same cooperation and
support that you have given me.   

I plan to remain active in CAP affairs, and hope to see you at the MER
Conference in Richmond the weekend of April 28-30.
