Hi, I am trying to get information about exactly when the Great Lakes Region Cadet Competition begins and ends.  I know that it is May5-7 but no one seems to know exactly what time it goes from.
Thanks!

I've competed at, observed, or escorted at the last four GLR Cadet Competitions, so I can give you my recollections.  Typically the inspection will be Saturday morning around 0800 at the hotel, followed by the drill portions at different points around WPAFB (usually at the Air Force Institute of Technology), then the academic events at Building 1222.  Sunday will be the mile run and volleyball for the drill teams with the awards presentation sometime around noon.  After that you are dismissed.  When you get there on Friday, your team commander and escort will have a briefing with the staff and receive the schedule as well as your check out times from the hotel.  Usually it is a good idea to pack up, load the vans, and check out before leaving for the mile run on Sunday morning.  If you have any questions, have your Team Commander or Senior Escort email Lt Col Middleton, the event director, with your concerns.

Anyways, good luck in preparing, it is a tough competition!  I'll be there as the head Senior Escort for the OHWG Drill Team (if we find enough people to compete and my Squadron Commander doesn't take my position  :P)

Howdy...
I was just about to email LtCol Middleton about dates, times, and extra help.

I know that the schedule is normally not given until day of, or slightly earlier.  Team times are not given until Friday.

Inspection will be Sat. AM, tests and knowledge bowl Sat AM and PM.  Sunday will be PT and awards.  All concludes, with due luck, around 1400 +/- 1-1/2 hours.
