Does anyone have any intel on the TXWG CTEP? I'm not sure what to expect, so are there any past attendees or staff here?

Just to save you the hassle of other people, you may want to look up the appropriate abbreviation for cadet grades in CAPR 52-16.

I fixed that for you. ;)

Thanks. Goes to show where my mind was since they removed the cadet grade abbreviations with the release of the 2011 edition of CAPR 52-16.

Thank you. The website makes it sound like a very educational experience, and I don't doubt that. I just was wondering what people thought of it.

Unfortunately, I have never attended.  Have you asked fellow cadets in your squadron and/or group?

Also, take one more look at CAPP 151.  You were close but not there yet on your grade abbreviation.

Offutteer

C/SrA Aidan F.,

Don't worry about what others think of the program, go in with an open mind and learn what you can.  But don't think of this as a single class.  All of the other cadets in your class, ya, you'll be side-by-side throughout the CAP Cadet Program. You'll see them at encampment this summer, then again at the Fall CTEP and wing conference, Cadet Competition, etc.  You'll be competing with them for encampment staff positions in a couple of years.  So take some time and really get to know them.  Keep in touch with them...  And most of all, have FUN.  (The fifth key trait of Cadet Life.)

I've only attended the TLC (formerly STEP) program for senior members back when I was in Texas Wing.

Each school has several top-notch cadet instructors. Based on your grade, you would be assigned to the Cadet Airman Leadership School. Lots of information packed over a weekend.
