Title: New rain jacket and pants - which guarantees the MidWest will be dry this summer
Post by: Eclipse on May 24, 2010, 09:11:14 PM
My friendly neighborhood UPS man finally dropped this off after a backorder since early March.

Absent a specification for the various corporate outerwear, this is what I will be wearing anytime the weather is bad (sans the
badge clip).  I also intend to dual-purpose this as a riding suit for my bike and while teaching for the MSF, so my hopes are
high for a wet summer.

I got it in dark navy, which in anything but bright sun looks black.  The intention is a professional-looking jacket
to be worn with the BBDU's, jumpsuit, etc.

I can't vouch for its water-tightness yet as I haven't worn it in the rain, but it fits well and feels well-made.  The pants
have cargo pockets, zippered side pockets, zippered boot flares, and enough room to be worn over another pair of pants.
I have yet to find a rain suit that is both breathable and watertight - Frog Togs are about the nearest I've found, but even they
tend to leak over the top and through the pockets.
