Were CAP records lost at Maxwell due to water damage? Someone told me that records were lost sometime in the 80's due to a flood. Is this true?

This was informed me from a SE Region Historian article that was online previously. Not sure if it may have been a flood, but there was a brief period of time that CAP NHQ was at Maxwell AFB's Gunter Annex while the HQ building was getting asbestos removed in the early 90s. Possibly during the move back and forth, some older records may have been misplaced or destroyed.

My take on it is that possibly older records are gathering dust in storage somehere and currently there isn't enough manpower to really sort things out.

Okay.  You'll find them sitting in a crate next to the Arc of the Covenent in a warehouse.

:D :D :D     Bravo!!

All of our CAP paychecks are probably right there with the Arc and the old records too...never to be seen again.

Paraphrasing Sir Winston Churchill:
