When to buy a new ID Card

Hello, does anyone know if I would need to buy a new ID card after a promotion from 2d Lt to 1st Lt? Or will NHQ automatically send me a new ID card with my new grade? I was promoted effective 2/13/12

NHQ no longer sends ID cards after promotions, only when you renew, so if you want the card to reflect your
new grade, you will have to order one.

NHQ no longer sends out ID cards based on transfers or promotions.

If you want your new rank on your ID card then you have to buy a new one.

Cards are no longer sent out upon promotion or unit transfer.  If you want a new one before your next renewal, you can login to e-services and pay for it.  Otherwise, next time you renew it will have your most recent grade on it.
