Title: Are the Armstrong and Goddard CADET CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT ranks concurrent?
Post by: Herman_Snerd on October 16, 2017, 05:55:36 PM
Hello,  I notice on the stripes to Diamonds chart that there are two levels of the CADET CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT rank.  The Robert Goddard Achievement Level 7 and Neil Armstrong Achievement level 8.

May I ask if the student cadet must complete both ranks in order to advance to the exam/ earn the Mitchell Award, or just one?  If both, does the student cadet have to wait the standard 56 days between earning each, or can they be completed within the same 56 day cycle (possibly) if the cadet completes all requirements?

Thanks in advance,
Herman

Goddard, then Armstrong. Both awards are tied to specific achievements, and are thus required to progress to Mitchell.

56 per each, same as when you get up into Phase 3 with the SDAs, etc.

Just no promotion tied to the achievement.

The online promotion module won't let the cadet progress to the next until all requirements,
and the minimum time have elapsed.

It's not two levels. There's just one grade, with two achievements required for the next promotion. This will also occur when you become a cadet officer.
