Special Note:

Was going to attempt to answer the question posed by Stonewall...but alas...I don't have a reply button on that forum page to even submit a message to be moderated.

He was Group 7. I was one of his cadets in the 90's in GLR-OH-704.

I'm the Commander of Group VII. Is it safe to assume Lt Col Mitchell was a past member of the Group?

Had I been familiar with Lt Col Mitchell I would have made an effort to represent CAP during his memorial service. I am an active member of the local VFW (as was he, but different post). I wish I had known of his passing.
