For anyone interested in getting their FAA Part 107 sUAS Certificate, here is the CAP training powerpoint. If you "know" this material, you should have no problem passing the test.

Here are the basic steps via the FAA. Please note, there are two paths. One path for an existing Part 61 pilot, and another path for a non-pilot.:

Initially, there is one drone package being delivered to each Wing as people are trained. Goal to have a minimum of 1 package, 5 sUAS Mission Pilots and 5 sUAS Technicians in each Wing by end of fiscal year. By the next year the goal is 10 packages spread out in each with with obviously many more Pilots and Technicians, in order to be Mission Ready.

My point? Be talking in your Squadron if this is something you want in your Squadrons future (and are able to do). Its not too early to start Part 107 training. If you can have a few in your squadron, seems it would certainly put you ahead of the ones that do not, when your Wing starts allocating gear.  JMHOs
