OK.  Im looking at NCC photos on the CAP Channel web site and I see all of the team members are wearing a white sholder cord?  Please tell me this isn't something that is now required.

Matt

No, the white cord denotes a color guard or a drill team.

Silver denotes honor guard, which is just a switcher-upper that you probably won't see on there.

The cords are worn IAW CAPM 39-1, and if I remember correctly are worn at the highest echelon they are won at (i.e. You win wing, you wear them in your wing until someone new wins, region, same concept)...

I should have been more clear.....so drill teams at NCC now wear white cords?  I guess the ribbon with the star wasnt enough?

Matt

Correct.  Both Color Guard AND Drill Teams don the cord.

Quote from: CAPR 52-164-5. b. Awards. Cadet members of drill teams and color guards are authorized to wear a white shoulder cord. The cord must be of the same style and shade as the white cord stocked for CAP by Vanguard Industries (civilairpatrolstore.com). Senior members will not wear NCC shoulder cords.
