Is NIMS 193 the same as ICS 200? I just got back from some National Guard training and we did ICS 100,200, 300, 400, 700, and 800. WHat CAP ES tasks do these equate too?

Also, what is a CAPT 117?

ICS 100 is the equivalent of the CAPT 116 part 2. ICS 200 is G193. Those courses take care of the ICS course tasks up to Incident Commander Level Three and Agency Liasion Level Three.

ICS 300 (which is G195) is a task on Incident Commander Level Two and Agency Liasion Level Two.

ICS 400 (which is G196) is a task on Incident Commander Level One and Agency Liasion Level One.

The CAPT 117 parts one, two and three are the Emergency Services Continuing Education Tests. Each qualification requires one of those tests to be taken. Part one deals with Critical Incident Stress Management, part two deals with flight operations and part three deals with mission base staff stuff.

I try to get all emergency services personnel to take all three CAPT 117 tests right way to get them out of the way.

It means "Test".

You can find it in "CAP Online Exams" from e-Services. It is under "ES Continuing Education Exams (CAPT 117 Parts 1, 2 and 3)".

Just FYI,

G193, 195, & 196 have been discontinued.  They have been replaced by the 100/200/300/400 series of courses.

All the SQTR's still list G193, 195, & 196, so it's important that members who don't know the conversion have access to it.  You're right though, the ICS classes are the new requirement.
