Post by: Rafael on August 02, 2010, 09:49:56 PM
Civil Air Patrol was incorporated on 1 July 1946, Public Law 476, 79Th Congress. In the second session ,was signed the law.
The law stated that the objects and purposes were to be "solely of a benevolent character." For more information look in the CAPM 50-1 Introduction to Civil Air Patrol

I would wager that most (not all) of the regulars here have taken (if not taught) the Orientation, Foundations (what ever it will be called next month) course.

We're really benevolent guys.  Even sinking submarines was a benevolent act if you were a merchant sailor in World War II.

Sometimes I'm so benevolent I actually frighten myself.

I have to go now.  Someone, somewhere needs some benevolence.

But "gullible" isn't in the dictionary!
