Title: Gen. Mark A. Welsh III One Air Force Award
Post by: Eclipse on August 28, 2018, 03:08:45 AM
Start working on those 2019 submissions!

https://www.afpc.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/1453599/af-seeks-2018-gen-mark-a-welsh-iii-one-air-force-award-submissions/

"This Air Force-level award, which recognizes mission success achieved by a team of two or more Total Force components, will be presented to the top team that demonstrates improved effectiveness, operational readiness or mission accomplishment through integrated solutions.

Active-duty, Guard, Reserve, Civil Air Patrol, or Department of Defense civilians from major commands and direct reporting units may nominate an integrated team for consideration."

Here's one example:

Considering how clear it's been made that CAP is only TF during 1AF missions, about the only way I could see
a CAP activity qualifying would be a SAR or DR mission that involved a lot of CAP-USAF people working together
with CAP members in some extraordinary capacity.

Maybe Green Flag or the Predator Escort Flight Program would qualify

Maybe the interdiction practice as well.

Maybe the interdiction practice as well.

Interdiction or interception? Vast difference there.

I've heard that some wings work very closely with their state's Air National Guard, perhaps that presents another opportunity.
