Title: A blazer replacement?
Post by: The CyBorg is destroyed on December 06, 2012, 11:05:43 PM
If not for the sewn-in badge holder, these would be a good replacement for the blazer uniform, especially since the option of epaulets is available for it, and if CAP badges were allowed to be worn on it.

You don't have to put the badge in Grandma's Couch Wrapper.

The CAP crest looks so darned hideous that way.

I pinned mine through both layers of plastic, and it looks OK.

I would delete it altogether.  It's not needed.  I would retain the current blazer nameplate for rank recognition.

CAP ribbons and devices would be worn...not sure about having CAP cutouts on the collar since it would already be noticeably CAP.

Looks like the CSU coat.

I was waiting for that, actually...not all double-breasted dress jackets are the CSU coat.

As much as I dislike grey, I am realist enough to know that it's here to stay.  This would be worn over the existing G/W setup, though I would support a change to either a light- or dark-blue civilian issue shirt.  The shoulder marks and nameplates would stay as-is.

It's an existing coat used by fire departments as a dress uniform.  The cut, colour and fabric are different to the CSU.  It would be an off-the-rack item with no fundamental alterations, other than maybe CAP crest buttons (not the same ones the CSU used; the old pewter-finish ones).

Also, "fuzzies" could not wear the CSU.  They could wear this one.
