Brit Soldier wins Victoria Cross

Though not CAP-related, I was sure some of you might be interested to know a Private in the British Army was just awarded the Victoria Cross (the UK-equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor) for actions in Iraq.  These things don't come along too often, but I'm sure it's a great morale booster for his unit.

Very interesting stuff.  Makes you wonder if a CMOH will be seen for anyone's actions in Iraq.

What I found interesting is that he is from one of the Commonwealth Nations.

I don't know if anyone's been awarded the CMH during Operations Enduring Freedom or Iraqi Freedom.

According to the article Army Sgt. 1st Class Paul Smith will be recieving the Medal of Honor postomously.
