Title: FEMA exam online?
Post by: Walkman on February 23, 2021, 03:07:58 PM
I haven't done a FEMA course in a while and did the classwork for IS-800 last night. There's conflicting statements on the site regarding in-person work. Before I sign up for the exam, can anyone confirm that it's online and not in person?

FEMA's IS courses are designed to be completed entirely online, but provide for an option for a group to conduct the training as an in-person class. Not frequently done, but an option.

As an aside, if you're starting an ES program from scratch, doing these as in-person classes is a good way to make sure everyone does them and helps provide some additional information, usually aimed at how the subject works in real life, if you can get help from response agencies.

Thanks. I was confused as there is a banner on the main site about Covid-19 precautions and things being just online, but then when I finished the course-work it mentions the exam being done at a testing site.
