More information and photos.  Interesting sequence.  Engine quit at 9500' (not that high, consider elevation of Fort Collins, CO), switched tanks, continued flight, engine quit and stayed dead.  Off airport landing was successful (all survived, only a few minor injuries).  It would be interesting to see what restraints were inside the cabin, since the plane definitely had a lot of lateral motion as it hopped the traffic barrier and wound pointed uphill on a steep river bank below the bridge.

That's what my motor pool NCOIC said one time.

Pilot: "hey, there's a Sonic down there. You guys want a banana shake?"
<ten minutes later>
Pilot: "Well, thats going to be hard to explain."

It works okay if you're flying something in the rotary wing family. >:D

QuoteEngine quit at 9500' (not that high, consider elevation of Fort Collins, CO)...
Point made, but the plane crashed in Colorado Springs. Location where the plane crashed is at 6,400' and the official airport elevation is 6,187'.

Good catch.  And unsaid is the "accuracy" check "fail" for social media.  :o
