Civil Air Patrol's Alumni Association is looking for both cadet and senior alumni of the organization.

The Alumni Association is especially interested to connect with former members who have had interesting or successful careers (aviation, military, business, entertainment, whatever).  A CEO, actor, general officer or even just someone who has made the world a better place in their corner since their time in CAP.

Are you a former cadet, too? The Alumni Association is also looking for as many former cadets as they can find.

Hop over to CAPAlumni.org to join, and feel free to share the Alumni Association link with your former cadet colleagues (if you've been in any length of time, you have a bunch, including many who have gone on to extremely successful careers) via social media.

Isn't it worth capturing current member data as well and using that for when they are no longer active in the organization?

Just a thought.

Sure, just tell us how you want to pay for the extra secure storage that would be required.

Eclipse

Gsuites is free - the entire history of CAP personnel files, in the proper format, could
fit in one account.

A few GB of data on AWS is costing me under $0.50/mo at rest.

The entire CAPWATCH export for the org wouldn't be that big.

I retired from active CAP service back in April 2018 from Michigan Wing.  Are you trying to create a sub-group?

No, there is a CAP alumni organization. Darin was simply promoting it, THREE years ago...

Dave it's essentially an email list where they send you donation requests and AARP-esque articles about life insurance, and occasional updates about the org. It's free to join and occasionally the content is a good read.

I hope you are doing well sir, next time I'm on your side of the State we'll have to grab lunch and catch up.

Hi Matt!  I was thinking of you a few days ago but never acted on reaching out to you (and I have no idea why I was thinking of you; perhaps it was when I was thinking of my time with CAP and some of the individuals I remember fondly).

I was going to write that I didn't see a link for the beforementioned CAP Alumni Association, but I see a few posts from this one contains a link so I'll try it (whether the link is still good or not is another thing).

Have a blessed day!

Matt, if you ever get over here, I'd love to have lunch with you.  I live a mile from Lake Michigan, and a few miles north of Holland (40 minutes West of Grand Rapids).  I'm on Facebook (but spend more time on MeWe.com).  my personal email address is dave.2cor12.9@gmail.com.  [elided for PERSEC; send that kind of info in a PM]
