The 2006 NCR Summer Encampment will be conducted at Camp Dodge in Johnston, Iowa. Training will be held Saturday, 1 July through Friday, 7 July 2006.
The mission of the NCR Encampment is to build future leaders! The encampment accomplishes this mission through a structured training program where discipline and teamwork are paramount. While this will be a challenging experience, the NCR Encampment is also rewarding. Cadets who complete the encampment will leave with increased self-confidence and an immeasurable sense of accomplishment.
You will experience a wide variety of activities at the NCR Encampment including UH-60 orientation flights, rappelling, and the Leadership Reaction Course. Your day will be filled with drill & ceremonies, physical fitness, and activities to develop your leadership/followership abilities. Do not expect to sit in a classroom all day. The encampment staff firmly believes in "hands-on" activities. You will take full advantage of the many facilities that the Iowa Army National Guard has made available.

Amazing... someone's actually advertising something in my area!
I'll probably be hitting that this summer, provided I have the time. We'll have to see. I haven't missed one since I joined, after all.
