Title: Magazine Article

Well... when Pigs Fly.  I was recently contacted by an aviation magazine about coming out and doing a story on my unit.  Turned out pretty well.  Although not an all inclusive about our operation, it focused a lot on our fire fighting mission.

This is really a great article!  Lacks only some cool pix of the cockpit updates, but then, we get a hero shot to make up for it.

I may have missed it in the article but what is the capacity of your Bambi Bucket?

324 gallons.  Approx 2600lbs per drop.  Depending on all the factors sometimes I'll restrict it down to 270ga.   I don't have to be quite as delicate with her handling. If the fire is close it's not uncommon to come on station with 1200-1300 lbs of fuel still on board.
