All:

In a 2007 thread here on CapTalk, Peter Turecek, the then-NYWG historian, offered to supply a copy of the Base 4 history (from Tubby Burnham) to anyone who PM'd him.

Peter appears to have last posted here in 2008, and I would love a copy of that history. Have any of you received that or have a lead on getting it? I think it might be a fun field trip for my cadets, given that it's a significant piece of VAWG history as well as CAP history. I'm trying to locate where, exactly, the Parksley base (or remnants, if any) might have been. The town itself is smack-dab in the center of the peninsula, and doesn't appear to have anything in it that looks like an airfield.

Send me a private message with your email, as I have a copy.

Also, the airfield itself is no longer there, but I have the coordinates for it just outside of town.
