Title: 2014 NYWG Encampment
Post by: vesryn on August 02, 2014, 02:30:55 AM
So, I got back from the NYWG Encampment recently. I went as a Services NCO and had a great time. The wing commander stopped by for a while and talked to all the cadets about how awesome the encampment was and the staff was. I had some of the best times of my life, (except for the day when all the sh** that could have hit the fan did) and made some incredible friends. Next year, provided my father doesn't PCS, I'm hoping to go back on TRNG or Flight Staff.

The video for this year's NYWG encampment can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaUhHH9BZZA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaUhHH9BZZA)

Sounds like you had a good experience!

I'm dating myself, but I also remember how exciting it was to attend my first encampment as cadet staff at the 1998 NYWG encampment at Fort Drum.  Definitely great memories.

Make sure you take the positive lessons learned back to your squadron.

I have dated myself, I think, several times on this service so I do not care if I do it again.

I participated in the 1998 or 1999 - not sure without pulling papers down - as one of Echo TACs in Fort Drum. Pleasant memories!
