Picked up a few pair of used grey epaulet sleeves really cheap on eBay, but they are slightly dingy looking. Not bad, and I could probably wear them without anyone noticing, but I'd rather clean them. Does anyone know what the material is, or have any best practices for cleaning them?
I used to just put them in a shirt pocket, button it, and toss the whole thing in the wash...
Won't that cause all sorts of havoc with them?
I would hand wash with Woolite or similar cleaner for delicates, and / or spot clean them.
I use a small zippered net bag. Works great.

Cold water, gentle cycle I assume?
The white interfacing inside may melt if exposed to high heat in drying or whatever. Otherwise, as long as they are covered/protected, they should be fine. If not, you can call 800-221-1264 and say "I'd like to place an order..." ;D >:D

We wash almost everything in cold water, and I think they just got thrown in with the light colors. It's been a while. I think they got air dried.
Try hydrogen peroxide in the future. It can work on grease stains, coffee, pen, blood...
