Travis Composite Sq 22 will be holding a Basic Cadet School (BCS) on Oct 5-7.  This is an awesome opportunity for cadets in the first leadership phase.  Below is what is taught at BCS;

Basic Cadet School
Part of the California Wing Integrated Leadership Program

Learn everything you need to know to succeed as you start and grow in the Cadet Program.
Topics to jump start your CAP career include:
• Drill and Ceremonies
• Proper Wear of the CAP Uniform
• The Missions of Civil Air Patrol
• The Cadet Honor Code
• The Organization of CAP
• The History of CAP
• Activities in the Cadet Program
• The Cadet Physical Fitness Training Program
• Basic Customs and Courtesies
• Introduction to Attitude and Discipline

Staff application deadlines are 31 Aug for cadet and senior staff.

Cadet Staff: Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume and a CAWGF150 to ccthomp@gmail.com,
Applicants selected to teach must submit a lesson plan by 14 Sep.

Senior Staff: Capt Anderson will be selecting the senior staff for this activity and currently will be functioning as the commander for the event. Staff selection will be completed 7 Sep. Billeting should be available for seniors wishing a room. Contact the West Wind Inn @ 707-424-8000 to check for availability and reservations. Student Deadline: 14 Sep 2012. Acceptance packages will be emailed.

The BCS will be hosted on Travis AFB and will cost $45 for cadets ( includes an activity t-shirt) and $40 for senior members.
