Awesome!  Thanks for the resource!

This guide really helps to qualify what we have basically been doing by default.
It's good to get something in writing that we can point to as a guide for what to wear and when.

yeah - why wouldn't CAP members use CAPM 39-1 table 1-1?

This info makes the item in the table a little more specific, and less open to individual interpretations. It certainly isn't regulatory for CAP, but provides additional guidance. If you like it, great. If you think it's a crock, that's OK, too.

OUTDATED.
Care to back that up at all, or are you just going to yell OUTDATED and be on your way?

The table has been supplemented by numerous IMC's over the years.

BDU/ABU/DCU were authorised for commercial travel for airman deploying to the desert.

My interpretation has been that BDU/BBDU's are a work uniform, worn in working/field situations or when otherwise prescribed by leadership.

However, since the Army adopted ACU's, they seem to wear those for almost anything.  I live a stone's throw from a National Guard facility and I can't remember the last time I saw any of their troops wearing even Class B.  I have yet to see any of them wearing the "new" Army blue, unfortunate since it's a sharp uniform.

^^ The Army has pretty always been a "BDU/ACU" type of organization, reserving greens/ASU for just a tiny minority of office types and ceremonial occasions.

Regular work - even the large majority of office work - has been in BDU/ASU since at least the 1980's.

When i was active duty and reserve army(pre-ACU) we were prohibited from traveling on civilian modes of commercial transportation..ie... Bus, Train, Airline in BDU's, actually the only authorized uniforms allowed for commercial travel  were Class A (service dress) or Class B (shirt/tie) uniforms.
